Tuesday is Last Day to Request to Vote by Mail

Tuesday is the last day to request a mail-in ballot for the Nov. 4 general election, according to the California Secretary of State.

Elections officials must receive vote-by-mail ballots by 8 p.m. on Nov. 4; postmarks are not counted.

Voters who wish to vote by mail are encouraged to mail their ballots in early to allow for postal transit times, elections officials said. You can also drop the ballot off on election day

Voters should visit their local Registrar of Voters’ office to request the vote-by-mail ballot, or you can try calling your county elections official to see if your county allows you to apply via telephone.

You can print and fill out an application to vote by mail on the Secretary of State’s website here.
